Getting to Tampa, one step closer...

Last night we got the boys carted off a friends house. We had to get up at 4 A.M. to fly out of RDU. Also, we
had a connecting flight in the ATL that took us to Tampa. We arrived in Tampa around 11:30 A.M. Three airports and two
planes in six hours was pretty interesting. Jennifer had never flown before. I picked on her a bit, but she was a real trooper. The
flights were nice and smooth. The RDU to Hartsfield was very nice, no clouds and we could see the landscape all the way.
We were delayed for about 30 minutes at RDU, in the plane on "the pad", so getting to the connector flight on time was like being on
an episode of "The Amazing Race". We all were herded from that plane, had less than 20 minutes to get to the next plane, in another terminal! We did fine, followed the signs (Hartsfield is one of the largest airports in the country)... Went downstairs, took a train, went upstairs, halfway down the terminal and voila! We wait. On the bright side, I received a voucher for free Internet while on the 2nd flight. Nice.

She had a window seat on the first flight, aisle seat on the 2nd 2nd. I sat in the middle each time. I fully believe the seats are smaller than they used to be, and that has to be true, because I shrank since I last flew, LOL. We aren't even renting a car on this trip. We called the hotel and they sent the shuttle. I called Laser Spine Institute and made sure all plans for Wednesday are in place. We had lunch at Bahama Breeze (1st timers - even though one is near home), very nice. We were starving so almost any old greasy spoon would have suited us. We go in at 7:45 A.M. tomorrow. This is 'test' day. I do not know how many, but it could take most of the day, depending on what they deem necessary. They cater breakfast and lunch so it will be fine. We are approximately 200 yards from LSI, I think we will walk in the morning, I could use the walk after sitting most of the day today. We will have the evenings to do something each night at least. I mean we ARE in Florida! Missing the boys already...

Have you ever been on a plane? If so, then you may understand this. Sometimes you want to talk to someone sitting next to you. Something inside is just speaking to you, say something... You may not understand why but you know it's there, gnawing at you. So, I was feeling that and towards the end of the flight, I started up a conversation with my "neighbor". I would like to say "hey" to a very nice person we met on the flight out of RDU, Staci. I feel that God led us together even if for only a five minute discussion. I will say that she works with pro sports teams (I thought that was cool) and she has similar issues with her back. Just like my doctor's, hers seem to want to help but do not seem interested in finding the best possible solution for the issues at hand. I hope that this finds her well and she can find the relief that I feel she deserves. Godspeed, Staci!
